Along the Riverwalk

Life downtown runs along the water. The Riverwalk links Esplanade Park, the Broward Center for the Performing Arts and the historic Stranahan House, and the Water Taxi stops up and down the New River. Plenty of people here walk to offices on Las Olas and Broward Boulevard, and they want a lunch that isn't another restaurant tab. A stocked fridge handles that.

Riverfront and Flagler Village towers

The towers along the river and in Flagler Village have front desks, valet lanes and package rooms. Add your building, unit and any receiving-room notes at checkout and your box is handed to the front desk in the evening window. Brightline riders heading to Miami for the day can grab lunch from the fridge on the way out.

Victoria Park

Just northeast of downtown, Victoria Park's tree-lined streets, townhomes and small condo buildings sit between Federal Highway and the Middle River, with Holiday Park and its tennis center a short ride away. It's mostly homes and low-rise buildings, so add gate codes or porch instructions at checkout.

Coral Ridge and the Isles

Farther north, Coral Ridge runs from the Galleria area on Sunrise Boulevard up along the Intracoastal, with canal-front homes and quick access to Fort Lauderdale beach. Closer in, the Isles of Las Olas line the finger islands between the boulevard and the Intracoastal. Families tend to choose the Traditional plan for weeknight dinners, and people training on the A1A beach route often pick the higher-protein Weight Loss plan.

Flagler Village and FAT Village

North of Broward Boulevard, Flagler Village has filled in with apartment and condo towers, breweries and gyms, and the FAT Village arts blocks host a monthly art walk.
